New Reports Reveal Additional Payments for Bolsonaro Biopic Dark Horse

Former banker Daniel Vorcaro made an additional payment of 1.6 million dollars to the Havengate Development Fund for the film Dark Horse, a biopic about Jair Bolsonaro. According to a report by piauí magazine based on a Coaf report, this transfer occurred on September 16, 2025. This payment contradicts previous statements made by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a presidential candidate, who had told GloboNews that the last payment from Vorcaro was made in May 2025. The September transfer took place eight days after Flávio Bolsonaro sent a message to Vorcaro urging him to honor his commitments to the production. With this new information, the total amount transferred by Vorcaro is estimated to have risen from 10.6 million dollars to 12.3 million dollars. Further evidence from WhatsApp messages between Vorcaro and publicist Thiago Miranda suggests another payment may have been made in October 2025, which would bring the total to approximately 14 million dollars. The Federal Police have opened an inquiry into the case, authorized by Justice André Mendonça. Investigators are examining whether the funds were used for the film or to bankroll expenses for Eduardo Bolsonaro and other allies in the United States. Flávio Bolsonaro has maintained that the matter is clarified and has referred to a forensic report from the production company Go Up, although critics argue the report lacks detail on the flow of money.
