North Korea launched at least one short range ballistic missile on Thursday at approximately 5:00 p.m. The South Korean military detected the launch from the eastern coastal city of Wonsan, while the Japanese Defense Ministry reported that the projectile likely fell off the eastern coast of the Korean Peninsula. Japan stated that no projectiles entered its exclusive economic zone and no damage was reported to its vessels or planes. This event marks the tenth missile launch by North Korea this year.
