- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of weight loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, announced on Monday that it is shortening its name to Novo. The company will maintain Novo Nordisk as its legal corporate name, but it will use the shortened version and an updated bull logo on its packaging. CEO Micke Doustdar stated that the change reflects a shift in the customer base, noting that many users of their weight loss medications do not view themselves as patients with a disease but as customers seeking weight reduction.
The rebrand occurs as the company faces intense competition in the anti obesity sector, particularly from the US company Eli Lilly. Novo intends to present its new brand identity to employees and meet with investors at an upcoming capital markets day to discuss a strategy for a more consumer driven market. In the United States, the company released a tablet form of Wegovy in January, and the pill was recently approved for use in Europe.
