  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Nvidia has revised its plans to support a proposed OpenAI data center project in Ohio, reducing its initial funding guarantee to less than $120 billion from a previously discussed $250 billion. According to reports citing the Wall Street Journal, the chipmaker is now expected to provide a financial backstop only for the first phase of the project. A deal could be signed as early as this weekend.

The adjustment follows concerns from investors regarding Nvidia's risk exposure related to large financing commitments. This development occurs after Nvidia partnered with six major financial institutions to launch compute financing platforms intended to raise over $500 billion in third party capital for AI infrastructure.

OpenAI continues to discuss a binding lease for the full 10 gigawatt project. The site is being developed by SB Energy, a subsidiary of SoftBank. If completed, it would be the largest data center project announced to date. While the project supports OpenAI's goal of owning AI infrastructure, the company's ability to fund such commitments is under scrutiny because it remains unprofitable despite a valuation of $852 billion.

In separate disclosures, Nvidia revealed stakes in several companies as of June 30, including nearly $21 billion in SpaceX and $30 billion in Intel. The company also held stakes in Nokia Corp, Synopsys Inc, Coherent Corp, Generate Biomedicines Inc, and Nebius Group NV.
