Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every source for this story reports from Brazil.

The Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) has decided to create a special commission to analyze the conduct of Supreme Federal Court (STF) ministers and request access to investigation documents involving Banco Master. The commission, composed of the Federal Council board and presidents of state sectionals, will review evidence and draft an opinion to be submitted to the OAB Plenary for potential legal action. In a separate petition to the STF, the OAB requested the removal of Attorney General Paulo Gonet from the case involving messages between Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro, the owner of Banco Master. The OAB argued that Gonet cannot act as the overseer of the law because he was personally summoned by Minister Edson Fachin to provide clarifications on the matter. The OAB suggested that Vice Attorney General Hindemburgo Chateaubriand handle the manifestation to ensure procedural neutrality.

During a meeting in Brasília, the OAB also reiterated its position calling for the end of the fake news inquiry. The organization requested that any potential criminal infractions by authorities be investigated regardless of their rank or function. While the OAB National president, Beto Simonetti, stated that there are currently insufficient elements to support a request for impeachment in the Senate, the organization continues to seek a full elucidation of the facts involving the Republic's authorities.

Reporting on the event differed based on political framing. A center leaning source emphasized the OAB's decision to rule out impeachment requests for Ministers Moraes and Toffoli despite pressure from some regional sections. Meanwhile, a center right leaning source focused more heavily on the specific allegations against Paulo Gonet, including claims that the bank owner funded a trip for the Attorney General's son.
