- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A passenger was arrested on Thursday after allegedly attempting to open the emergency exit of a Batik Air flight traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Kochi. The individual, identified as Jamsheer Athanikkal from the Palakkad district of Kerala, was on flight OD231 when the incident occurred between 9:30 pm and 11:05 pm on Wednesday. According to the FIR, the passenger tried to force open the emergency exit, damaged the window panel, and threatened fellow passengers, which endangered the safety of those on board.
Cabin crew and other passengers intervened to stop the man, and videos of the struggle surfaced on social media after the plane landed. Upon arrival in Kochi, the passenger was taken into custody by CISF personnel and handed over to the Nedumbassery Police Station. He has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for criminal intimidation, the Aircraft Act for violating safety directions, and the Kerala Police Act for acts endangering public safety.
Reporting on the event differed slightly in focus. A center-leaning source emphasized the panic and the passenger's stated motivation, while a center-right source focused on the legal charges and the specific details of the arrest.
