The Pentagon has temporarily rescinded a new clinical guidance document regarding mandatory testosterone screening for military personnel. The document, titled Clinical Guidance for Health and Human Performance Optimization, was released on September 2 and withdrawn the following day. According to reports, the guidelines proposed that men aged 30 and older be screened via a questionnaire that could lead to blood tests and hormone therapy, while women would also be screened for hormonal imbalances.
In a statement, the Pentagon said the document was rescinded to allow for updates and that the department remains committed to addressing hormone deficiencies to enable peak operational performance.
