Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A report from Carabineros has established that former Supreme Court Minister Ángela Vivanco deleted content from her cell phone prior to her detention. The document, which consists of 449 pages and was submitted to Regional Prosecutor Carmen Gloria Wittwer, details that Vivanco began transferring documents related to the case to an external contact before erasing the information from her own device. Police officials described this as a repeated behavior observed across multiple devices seized during the investigation into the so called Belarusian plot. The report includes a conversation with her former lawyer, Carlos Mora, in which Vivanco stated she deleted everything in case her phone was taken. In response, Vivanco stated that deleting messages from her devices is a minimum measure of privacy that any citizen, and especially a lawyer, should take. The police report also notes that Vivanco maintained contact with co defendants in her phone agenda.
