- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

President Lee Jae Myung appointed senior trade official Park Jung-sung as the new trade minister on Friday. Park, who previously served as vice trade minister, replaces Yeo Han-koo, who was dismissed last week for reasons that remain unknown. The appointment does not require a confirmation hearing or parliamentary approval.
Park is a 54 year old veteran bureaucrat with nearly three decades of experience in trade and commerce policy. He holds an economics degree from Seoul National University and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University in the United States. His career includes serving as a co-coordinator for the World Trade Organization's Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement and as the lead working-level negotiator for a task force on U.S. tariff negotiations.
Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung stated that Park was selected to maximize national interest and maintain continuity in urgent negotiations with Washington. These talks center on South Korea's US$350 billion investment pledge made last year. Seoul officials have reported meaningful progress regarding strategic investment projects in the U.S. with more details expected next month.
In a separate appointment, President Lee named Choi Yong-chul, a career firefighting official and former vice chief of the National Fire Agency, as the head of that agency.
