Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Workers Party (PT) launched a social media offensive on Wednesday against Supreme Court (STF) Minister André Mendonça. The mobilization follows Lula's public demand for the full lifting of secrecy surrounding investigations into Banco Master, a case that involves Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. The PT campaign coordinated the effort through WhatsApp groups, including the Lulaverso, urging militants to criticize Mendonça's conduct and share posts to influence public opinion 25 days before the elections.
Éden Valadares, the PT communications secretary, accused Minister Mendonça of protecting Flávio Bolsonaro and attempting to influence the election results. The tension escalated after Mendonça lifted the secrecy of a Federal Police report revealing messages between Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro, the owner of Banco Master. These messages reportedly show Vorcaro seeking guidance from Moraes regarding investigations and potential travel abroad prior to a previous arrest.
Lula stated that transparency is necessary to address an institutional crisis within the judiciary and to prevent selective leaks. PT leadership suggests that the investigation may reveal details regarding the film Dark Horse, a biopic about former President Jair Bolsonaro. PT President Edinho Silva further called for militants to take to the streets and social networks to oppose what he described as authoritarian and anti democratic forces.
