Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

Prince George, the 13 year old second in line to the British throne, began his first day of school at Eton College on Tuesday. He was accompanied by his parents, Prince William and Princess Catherine. The prince arrived at the prestigious Berkshire boarding school wearing a suit and tie, later changing into the official uniform which consists of a black tailcoat, waistcoat, and pinstriped trousers. Upon arrival, he was greeted by school principal Simon Henderson and provost Nicholas Coleridge. Henderson was heard telling the prince, "Welcome, good luck, enjoy it."

Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton College is an elite institution for boys that has educated Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as 20 former British prime ministers, including Boris Johnson and David Cameron. Other notable alumni include actors Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, and Eddie Redmayne. Annual tuition fees for the 2025/26 year are approximately 63,000 pounds, or roughly 73,000 euros. George will live on campus in one of 25 boarding houses, which are managed by a house master and a dame. The school is located near Windsor Castle, where the Prince of Wales and Princess Catherine reside.

Outlets with a center left lean highlighted the elite nature of the school and the parents' decision to allow media coverage of the arrival despite their usual preference for privacy. Center right outlets focused on the event as a significant milestone for the young prince and a continuation of royal tradition. Center outlets provided a straightforward account of the event, with one also noting separate reports regarding the private status of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's return to the UK.
