Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

His daughter, Claudia, confirmed the news via social media, stating that he passed away on Thursday after being hospitalized for 27 days due to a respiratory infection. He eventually settled in São Paulo, where he studied civil engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo before pursuing his passion for journalism. His career spanned over seven decades and included roles at Jovem Pan, ESPN, SporTV, Uol, and Grupo Abril. He was particularly noted for his long tenure at Rádio Panamericana, which later became Jovem Pan, where he covered both football and Formula 1.
