A tropical depression near Hainan Island has intensified back into a tropical storm on Tuesday. The system, which was previously Typhoon Saudel, is moving northeast and is expected to approach the coast of China on Thursday before weakening again. Authorities in eastern and southern China have warned of floods, landslides, and mudslides due to forecast heavy to torrential rain.
