- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Right-wing supporters held demonstrations in at least 15 Brazilian cities on September 7 to demand the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes and protest the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The largest gathering took place on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, led by presidential candidate and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. The protests were fueled by a crisis within the Supreme Court involving leaked messages between Justice Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro, the former owner of Banco Master. Justice André Mendonça, who removed the secrecy of the Federal Police report containing these messages, received widespread support from protesters and candidates alike.
