- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Russian attacks killed a three month old infant and injured dozens of people across Ukraine on August 15. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the infant was killed when a strike hit a residential building in the town of Marhanets. Eleven other people were injured in that region, including two children. Across Ukraine, reports indicate that 49 people were injured in various strikes. The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Russian forces launched 152 Shahed type drones and loitering munitions, of which 124 were intercepted. Strikes and debris were reported in the Kherson, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.
Simultaneously, Ukraine conducted strikes within Russian territory. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles targeted a key electronics facility belonging to the Roscosmos space agency in the Samara region. Ukrainian forces also reportedly shelled the Sawasleika military airfield. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have repelled 598 Ukrainian drones over Russia and Crimea, and reported that a woman and a nine year old child were injured by a drone attack in the Moscow region.
On the front lines, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have taken control of 19 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, including the village of Rybalskoje. Conversely, President Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian forces have recaptured 745 square kilometers of territory on the southeastern front this year.
