  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Russian forces launched ballistic missile and guided aerial bomb attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv during the night of August 11. In Zaporizhzhia, officials reported that at least five people were killed and 20 others were injured. In Kyiv, explosions were heard across the city, including in the Shevchenkivskyi district where a warehouse was damaged. While most sources report five deaths in Zaporizhzhia, one source reports at least six total deaths across both cities, including one in the capital.

Ukraine's Air Force confirmed that the strikes targeted several locations, including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv. In Zaporizhzhia, Governor Ivan Fedorov stated that the attacks damaged homes and buildings and caused power outages. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to seek shelter as the city was targeted by ballistic missiles.

Simultaneously, reports emerged of Ukrainian activity within Russian territory. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced further counterattacks in the Russian hinterland, citing a strike on the oil industry in Tobolsk, Siberia. Other reports detailed drone attacks in the Voronezh and Tatarstan regions of Russia, resulting in casualties and fires at industrial sites and logistics centers. Zelensky also warned that Russia is preparing to deploy more North Korean soldiers and has received new ballistic missiles from Pyongyang.
