  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Russia launched a series of missile and drone strikes on Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine on Tuesday, ending a three day truce that had been established for the visit of US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Reports on the casualties in Kyiv vary across sources. Some outlets report at least two deaths and ten injuries, while others cite three deaths and 19 injuries. The Kyiv Independent reports a higher total of five deaths and 70 injuries across Ukraine, including strikes in Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia. President Volodymyr Zelensky described the assault as a complex strike designed to cause maximum harm, noting the use of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and jet powered drones. Damage was reported to residential buildings, schools, warehouses, and a television station building. In response to the attacks, the Ukrainian government and its allies emphasized the need for more air defense capabilities. Germany and the United Kingdom announced new military aid, and the European Union agreed to allow Ukraine to use part of a 90 billion euro loan to purchase US made Patriot missiles. The diplomatic visit by Witkoff and Kushner did not result in a major breakthrough. President Zelensky stated that he expects the war to continue into the winter, while the Kremlin indicated it does not rule out further trilateral talks. Separately, Hungary expelled ten Russian diplomats on Tuesday, citing activities incompatible with their diplomatic status.
