Sachin Pilot Challenges CJP to Audit Punjab Schools with Same Rigor as Other States

Punjab Congress in charge Sachin Pilot has challenged the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to audit government schools in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ruled state with the same courage and scrutiny applied to other governments. Pilot issued the challenge on X after a Rajasthan based journalist noted a disparity between a CJP audit that found a school running in a stable in one state and a visit to a Punjab school that featured a swimming pool. Pilot stated that AAP deserves no friendly exemption and that Punjab deserves the same level of questioning as elsewhere.

The challenge follows a visit by a CJP delegation led by spokesperson Saurav Das as part of the School Thik Karo drive. Das visited schools in Ludhiana, where he praised the infrastructure of the Schools of Eminence, noting that facilities such as AI labs and swimming pools were in some respects better than those in private schools. However, Das also flagged issues to Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and noted that the Government Senior Secondary School, Jandiali, had very old infrastructure. AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal thanked the CJP for raising these concerns and pledged to address them immediately.
