Several people were killed and others injured on Thursday when a Dutch tour bus overturned in the eastern Swiss canton of Graubünden. The accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. local time on the road between the villages of Susch and Zernez. According to police and local media, the bus collided with a guardrail, left the road, and overturned on its side. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The bus was operated by the Dutch company Oad and was carrying a group of Dutch tourists. Reports on the number of passengers vary slightly, with some sources citing 48 passengers and others stating there were 49 people on board, including the driver. The group had departed the Netherlands on Monday for a trip to Austria and was visiting Switzerland for a day excursion. The vehicle used for the tour belonged to the transport company Hartemink, based in Eibergen.

The road between Susch and Zernez remained closed throughout the night to allow for the recovery of bodies and the removal of the vehicle.
