Singer songwriter IU will release a new digital single on Thursday, September 10, according to her agency, EDAM Entertainment. The announcement was made Friday and accompanied by a teaser video uploaded to the artist's social media channels. The Korea Herald noted that the teaser included astronomy themed hints and a music snippet previously heard in a video titled Dear Star, make my wish come true.
This release marks IU's first new music in a year. Her most recent song, Bye, Summer, was released on September 10, 2025. The 33 year old artist previously postponed the release of her sixth studio album and canceled concerts scheduled for earlier this month due to a health issue.
