The Civil Police of São Paulo have identified six individuals who harassed a young boy and his family during a match between Corinthians and Santos on Sunday, September 30. The incident occurred after Neymar gave his jersey to the child, who had been holding a sign requesting the shirt. Following the gesture, other fans began insulting and threatening the boy and his family, forcing security and police to escort them out of the stadium via the pitch to avoid a confrontation.
According to a statement from Corinthians on Saturday, October 5, the Delegacia de Polícia de Repressão e Análise aos Delitos de Intolerância Esportiva (Drade) used stadium security footage and journalist recordings to identify the suspects. The individuals face charges for provoking a tumult and may be banned from attending Corinthians matches for up to three years under the General Sports Law. As a preventive measure, Corinthians has prohibited the identified fans from entering the Neo Química Arena and has suspended their Fiel Torcedor membership accounts.
