- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will accept 700 billion won, or approximately 523.9 million US dollars, of a 944 billion won property division ordered by a court for his former wife. Chey intends to dispute the remaining amount at the Supreme Court. In July, the Seoul High Court ordered the payment to his former wife, Roh Soh-yeong, in a high profile case. Chey appealed the ruling last month. In a document submitted to the Supreme Court on August 31, Chey's legal team stated they would accept up to 700 billion won to scale back the dispute and resolve it swiftly. Chey initiated divorce proceedings in 2017 after admitting in 2015 that he had an extramarital partner and a child. The couple married in 1988 and have three children together. The Supreme Court finalized the divorce last year but remanded the property settlement to the appellate court for review.
