- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
South Korean badminton star An Se-young captured her second career world title on Sunday, defeating Japan's Akane Yamaguchi 21-17, 21-14 in the women's singles final at the Badminton World Federation World Championships in New Delhi. An, the world number one, won the match without dropping a game throughout the tournament. This victory follows her first world title in 2023 and an Olympic gold medal in Paris. An remains the only South Korean singles player, male or female, to hold a world title.
South Korea also saw success in the women's doubles event, where Baek Hana and Lee So-hee defeated China's Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning 21-15, 21-15. This marks South Korea's first triumph in the women's doubles event in over three decades, being only the second South Korean duo to win the title since 1995.
In the men's events, South Korea's Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho failed to defend their men's doubles title after losing their semifinal match to Malaysia's Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik. Meanwhile, Taiwanese players achieved significant results. Chou Tien-chen earned a bronze medal after losing his semifinal to Japan's Kodai Naraoka, becoming the oldest player to reach a World Championships men's singles semifinal. Additionally, Taiwan's Lee Jhe-huei and Yang Po-hsuan secured a bronze medal in the men's doubles after falling to a Chinese pair in the semifinals.
