South Korea Hosts Inaugural Presidential Summit with Central Asian Leaders

South Korea is hosting its first ever presidential summit with the leaders of five Central Asian states: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, talks with Turkmenistan centered on expanding a partnership traditionally based on energy to include shipbuilding, urban development, and infrastructure. South Korea's Foreign Minister Cho Hyun noted that trade between South Korea and the five nations exceeded 10 billion dollars for the first time last year.
