A powerful El Nino has reached super status in the Pacific Ocean, with forecasters warning it could be one of the strongest on record. Data from the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released on September 14, 2026, shows the temperature rise has breached the 2C threshold.
