- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Magistrate José Joaquín Urbano of the Supreme Court of Justice has warned that Francisco Kiko Gómez, the former governor of La Guajira, may be behind a recent attack on the Procuraduría office in Bogotá. The warning follows the discovery of bullet impacts in an office on the 26th floor of the Procuraduría headquarters. According to Urbano, the office belongs to Pedro Luis Bonilla Bolaños, a prosecutor who supported the court's recent sentencing of Gómez.
Kiko Gómez has a history of violent crimes and convictions. He was sentenced to 55 years in prison in 2016 for the 2012 murder of former mayor Yandra Brito and the 2008 murders of Henry Ustáriz and Wilfredo Fonseca. More recently, the Criminal Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court, with Urbano as the rapporteur, sentenced Gómez to 31 years in prison for the murder of councilman Luis Gregorio López, reversing a previous ruling by the Superior Tribunal of Bogotá that had removed the homicide charge.
Urbano noted that other individuals involved in the legal process have expressed fear. Gloria Guzmán Duque, a judicial prosecutor, reported fearing for her safety following a social media post warning of a possible attack ordered by Gómez. Additionally, Prosecutor Bonilla reported that his office windows had been broken the previous week. While one source describes Gómez as a powerful figure who maintained a political movement known as kikismo in La Guajira, another source characterizes him as a parapolitician who has put the Supreme Court on high alert.
