- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government signed 97 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) involving investments between ₹67,452 crore and ₹67,542 crore during its first major investment event, the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026. Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay presided over the event. Minister for Industries S. Keerthana stated that cumulative investment commitments since the government took office on May 10 have now exceeded ₹1 lakh crore, with a total of 104 MoUs expected to generate over 1.2 lakh jobs.
Investment was distributed across various sectors and regions. The automobile sector saw 16 companies commit ₹16,773 crore, while the textile industry signed 16 agreements totaling ₹7,871 crore, which is expected to create the highest number of jobs at 24,876. Kancheepuram received the highest number of projects with 20 deals. Ramanathapuram secured its first major industrial investment through a ₹1,000 crore project by Phoenix Kothari Footwear Limited.
International participation included companies from 16 countries. Notable foreign investments came from Germany, Japan, and Australia, as well as France's Saint-Gobain and the U.S. based Super Micro Computer. Domestic investments included ₹2,500 crore from the Hinduja Group for renewable energy and mobility, and ₹1,000 crore from Titan for facilities in Hosur.
While the government highlighted the event as a step toward a USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2036, the center-right source noted that opposition parties, including the DMK, AIADMK, and BJP, attacked the state government over the issue. The center-left source focused more on the specific industrial gains and the strategic goal of investing in backward districts.
