Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A 24 year old Thai footballer died and 12 other players were injured after lightning struck the pitch during a local match in southern Thailand. The incident occurred on Tuesday at Santiphap Stadium in Sungai Golok during a semi final of the Golok FA Cup, a tournament featuring amateur Thai and Malaysian teams. The victim was identified as Sofwan Awae, a winger for SAMCOLTS who had recently signed with Yala FC, a Thai third tier club. Police chief Thun Sirikhunt stated that Awae died despite the efforts of emergency medical teams. Video of the event shows a lightning bolt striking the field followed by a loud explosion, with teammates attempting to resuscitate Awae before help arrived. Among the 12 injured players was one Malaysian national. According to the country's Department of Disease Control, at least 283 people were struck by lightning between 2020 and 2024. Other recent fatalities in Thailand include an engineering student and his aunt in Lampang province, as well as a pregnant woman in Uthai Thani province.
