At least three people died and dozens more are feared trapped after a five storey building used as a boys' PG hostel collapsed in the Satya Niketan neighborhood of South West Delhi on Sunday afternoon. Emergency services received alerts around 1:30 PM, prompting a large scale rescue operation involving the National Disaster Response Force, Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Officials and locals estimate that between 30 and 60 students may have been inside the structure at the time of the collapse. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and L-G Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited the site, and the Chief Minister confirmed that an adjacent building was evacuated as a precaution.
