Tiger Woods has lost his driver's license for five years and avoided jail time as part of a plea deal. The 15 time major champion entered a no contest motion on all charges in a district court in Stuart, Florida. Woods admitted to reckless driving following a traffic accident in late March where his vehicle struck a van with a trailer and overturned, forcing him to climb out of the passenger door. Investigators found two strong painkiller pills in his bag, but the court dropped the charge of driving under the influence of drugs in exchange for the admission of reckless driving. Following his arrest, Woods announced a hiatus from his career to address health issues, including a history of seven back surgeries and over 20 leg operations. He most recently underwent surgery for an Achilles tendon rupture and back issues in 2025.
