- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Tottenham Hotspur have signed 22 year old Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City. While the clubs did not officially disclose financial details, British media reports indicate the deal is worth 75 million pounds, with an additional 10 million pounds in add ons. This acquisition brings Tottenham's total spending in the current transfer window to over 300 million pounds, or approximately 400 million US dollars.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi praised Savinho for his energy, imagination, and ability to change a game with his creativity. Savinho expressed his happiness at joining the club and working under De Zerbi. The player previously played for Atletico Mineiro and Troyes, and had a breakout season on loan at Girona where he scored 11 goals in 41 appearances. During his time at Manchester City, he made 84 appearances and scored seven goals. He has also earned 13 caps for the Brazilian national team.
This signing follows other arrivals including midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, and defenders Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke. The squad revamp comes after Tottenham finished 17th last season and narrowly avoided relegation. The team began the current Premier League season with a 3 to 0 loss against Brentford. Reports also suggest Tottenham is in talks to sign Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City.
Framing of the event varied slightly across reports. Center leaning coverage focused on the specific cost in Brazilian reais and the player's struggle to become a starter at City. Center left and center right coverage emphasized the broader squad revamp and the club's low league finish from the previous season.
