Tropical Storm Pilandok, also known as Krovanh, exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 3. The state weather bureau, PAGASA, reported that the storm was located approximately 1,030 to 1,050 kilometers east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon as it moved north. While the storm is not expected to directly affect the country or reenter the PAR, it helped enhance the southwest monsoon, known as habagat.

Despite the storm's departure, the southwest monsoon continues to bring moderate to heavy rain and strong gusts to parts of Luzon and the Visayas. PAGASA warned that flooding and landslide threats remain. The storm is currently heading toward southern Japan, where it may remain stationary before moving in a looping pattern over the Okinawa Amami islands area.

Pilandok was the 16th tropical cyclone for the country in 2026 and the fifth for August, which exceeded the predicted range of two to four cyclones for the month.
