Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.

President Donald Trump stated in a phone interview with Real America's Voice that his options regarding Iran include allowing the country to fail economically or hitting them really, really hard. Trump described Iranian officials as devious negotiators and noted that he is currently negotiating with them. He characterized Iran as an economic mess, claiming the U.S. has total control over their frozen assets.

While Trump has fluctuated between threats of escalation and claims of an imminent peace deal, Pakistan recently indicated that the U.S. and Iran were close to some sort of deal. Qatar also stated that talks regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz were at an advanced stage.

Addressing concerns about low munitions stockpiles, Trump asserted that the U.S. is building them like crazy. He attributed the low levels to former President Joe Biden, claiming that 300 billion dollars worth of munitions were given to Ukraine. This follows reports that the U.S. Army has used much of its stockpile of highly accurate long-range missiles during the conflict.
