A Pentagon report submitted to Congress states that US military operations killed 153 civilians and wounded 243 in 2025. According to the report, these casualties resulted from three strikes in Yemen conducted by US Central Command (CENTCOM) in April 2025. The report also notes that 15 other incidents in Yemen are currently being assessed. This represents a significant increase from 2024, when the Pentagon assessed that two civilians were killed and two were injured.
The report found no civilian casualties resulting from US military operations in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific. This area of responsibility is managed by US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). Since September 2025, the Trump administration has conducted strikes on vessels it describes as transporting narcotics, killing more than 200 people. The administration characterizes these targets as narco terrorists, while organizations such as Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the ACLU describe the strikes as unlawful extrajudicial killings or based on unsubstantiated claims.
