The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) unanimously approved the registration of six tickets to compete for the Presidency and Vice Presidency of Brazil in the 2026 elections. The decision was reached during a virtual session that concluded on Wednesday, October 2. The court determined that the candidates submitted the required documentation and met the conditions established by the Constitution and the Law of Ineligibility.
The approved tickets include Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Geraldo Alckmin (PT/PSB), Flávio Bolsonaro and Alfredo Gaspar (PL), Romeu Zema and Eduardo Girão (Novo), Samara Martins and Raquel Brício (UP), Hertz Dias and Vanessa Portugal (PSTU), and Edmilson Costa and Cleusa Santos (PCB).
Out of 13 total registration requests received by the tribunal, seven remain under analysis. These pending candidacies include tickets from Augusto Cury and Júlio Delgado (Avante), Clariana Barão and Fabiana Torquato (DC), Pablo Marçal and Leonardo Avalanche (PRTB), Renan Santos and Coronel Medina (Missão), Ronaldo Caiado and Gilberto Kassab (PSD), Rui Costa Pimenta and Antônio Carlos (PCO), and Wilson Grassi and Suêd Haidar (Democrata).
