The Metropolitan Police arrested a 60 year old man and a 42 year old woman in London on suspicion of assisting Iran's intelligence service. The arrests occurred on Wednesday as part of an investigation into suspected National Security Act offenses. The suspects were released on conditional bail until late October.
Police stated that the arrests followed searches of properties in north and north west London conducted in June, with a further search carried out at a third address on September 9.
