- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
At least two people died and one person remains missing following flash floods at the Grand Canyon National Park over the weekend. Rescue teams saved approximately 80 people during the event, which occurred on Saturday afternoon. The flooding hit the park's most popular trail and an area containing historic lodging. The waters carried large rocks and debris toward the Colorado River, destroying pathways and causing significant damage to park infrastructure.
Authorities warned that further storms could trigger additional flash floods in the region. Experts suggest several factors may have aggravated the impact of this year's monsoon season. These include the effects of El Niño, a persistent drought that has left the Colorado River at historic lows, and the aftermath of the Dragon Bravo wildfire from July 2025. The loss of vegetation from the fire may have reduced the land's ability to absorb rainfall, allowing water to flow more rapidly through the canyon's steep geography.
