Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.

Two military personnel, identified as a captain and a professional soldier, were killed on Friday during a drone attack on the El Trapiche military canton in Ocaña, Norte de Santander. The attack occurred around 7:20 p.m. local time using drones loaded with explosive devices. Five additional professional soldiers were wounded in the assault. A Colombian Air Force helicopter was also hit by shrapnel during the incident. The Colombian Army attributed the attack to the Camilo Torres Restrepo Front of the National Liberation Army (ELN). President Abelardo de la Espriella expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased and announced plans to design a new strategy with military and police leadership to target the structures, leaders, and finances of criminal groups in the Catatumbo region. The Army has activated security protocols and is currently evaluating the damage to military infrastructure.
