Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

Two or three people died following a fire at a cake shop in Motosu, Gifu prefecture, on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at a two story building that served as both a shop and a residence. According to police, an emergency call reported that a person had been stabbed and that gasoline had been spread on the premises. The fire was extinguished approximately three hours later, destroying a building of about 300 square meters.

At the time of the incident, the shop owner, a woman in her 60s, was hosting a gathering with 10 acquaintances. The owner and two other individuals were taken to the hospital. While two sources report two bodies were found in the ruins, one source reports three people died. Police are investigating the fire as a possible arson case and suspect the culprit was among the people attending the gathering.
