- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A member of the UK armed forces died in a road traffic incident in Ukraine on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The MoD stated that the individual's family has been informed and has requested a period of grace before further details are released. The BBC reports that the incident was not the result of hostile action.
A small number of British personnel are currently in Ukraine to provide security for diplomatic staff and support the Ukrainian armed forces. This follows a previous death in December involving a 28 year old paratrooper who died while observing the testing of a defensive capability away from the front lines.
Separately, a Russian drone hit and damaged a train at Yahodyn station near the Ukraine and Poland border on Sunday. The attack occurred shortly after a train carrying former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, and European security officials had passed through the area. While Russia's defence ministry stated it struck railway infrastructure, Ukraine's state railway company suggested the drone may have been aimed at the diplomatic train.
How each side framed it
- Centre-left
- The center-left outlet focused more heavily on the potential targeting of Boris Johnson by the Russian drone attack.
- Centre
- The center outlet provided broader political context regarding the UK's military support and recent diplomatic activity in Ukraine.
