Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.
Private sector employment in the United States grew by 38,000 jobs in August, according to the ADP National Employment Report released Wednesday. This figure follows a revised increase of 46,000 jobs in July. The growth was lower than the 48,000 jobs predicted by economists surveyed by Reuters. The ADP report is produced in partnership with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab and serves as a precursor to the official Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report. One source noted that ADP has been an imprecise indicator for BLS private payroll estimates. Separately, the BLS reported on Tuesday that there were 1.05 open vacancies for every unemployed person in July, which represents stable labor market conditions compared to June.
