- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Hong Kong police arrested a 45 year old woman on Friday outside the West Kowloon Law Courts Building on suspicion of acting with seditious intention, disorder in a public place, and obstructing police. The arrest occurred shortly after 5am while the woman was queueing for seats in the public gallery. The event took place hours before judges delivered a verdict against two former leaders of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, Lee Cheuk yan and Chow Hang tung, as well as the organization itself. The defendants were accused of inciting subversion under the national security law for calling for an end to one party rule in mainland China. A witness reported that the woman was wearing a black t shirt with Japanese characters. A center right source framed the arrest as being specifically triggered by the wearing of a seditious t shirt, while a center left source framed the arrest as occurring ahead of the national security law verdict.
