Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence startup behind Claude, is preparing for an initial public offering that could result in a valuation of at least 2 trillion dollars. This figure would surpass the 1.77 trillion dollar valuation of SpaceX and make it the largest IPO in history. According to reports from the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal, the debut on Wall Street could occur in late September or October. The company filed confidential preliminary documentation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 1, though it has not yet set a final price or number of shares. Investors anticipate that annualized revenues will reach between 100 billion and 120 billion dollars by the end of 2026, a significant increase from the 47 billion dollars reported in May. In a funding round in May, Anthropic raised 65 billion dollars and was valued at 965 billion dollars, which placed its valuation above that of OpenAI. OpenAI has also reportedly begun confidential SEC filings for its own transition to a public company, although it has not decided on a definitive date. Anthropic was founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees and is led by CEO Dario Amodei.
