  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Several hundred anti-migrant protesters, including a group called the South Coast Patriots, marched through Portsmouth city centre on Saturday. They were met by anti-racism groups, including the organization Stand Up to Racism, who held a counter-demonstration. Police kept the two groups apart when they arrived at Guildhall Square.

Hampshire Police arrested two men and one teenager during the event. Timothy Miller, 76, was charged with concealing his identity at a protest. David McNally, 33, was charged with obstructing the highway and attempted criminal damage. A 16 year old male was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder related to a previous event at Eastney Marina. Additionally, Del Leon Somerville, 42, appeared in court charged with violent disorder and assaulting a police officer during a separate protest on 6 September.

Center leaning coverage focused on the specific legal charges and the police use of powers under the Crime and Policing Act to prevent the use of face coverings. Center right leaning coverage focused on the presence of the South Coast Patriots and the organized nature of the counter manifestation.
