- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Berlin held commemoration ceremonies to mark 65 years since the construction of the Berlin Wall. Events included a wreath laying by Bundestag President Julia Klöckner at the Bernauer Straße memorial and an art installation at the Brandenburg Gate depicting the division of the city. In the Sankt Hedwig Cathedral, Auxiliary Bishop Matthias Heinrich celebrated a Mass for the victims of the German division. Bishop Heinrich, who was seven years old when the border closed, shared personal accounts of the fear and uncertainty experienced by his family and the long separation from his grandparents in Friedrichshain. He noted that while the DDR authorities created a physical wall, the connection within the bishopric remained. A center left source frames the event as being overshadowed by upcoming state elections in the East and the polling of the AfD. Center right sources focus on the historical commemoration and the personal experiences of those who lived through the division.
