Claudia Di Pasquale Appointed Host of Report Amid Editorial Staff Celebration

Claudia Di Pasquale has been appointed as the host of the Rai3 program Report, where she will work alongside Daniele Piervincenzi. The appointment was made by Paolo Corsini, the director of Approfondimento, following the decision of Giulia Presutti to step back from the role. The news was met with applause, hugs, and shouts of joy from the editorial staff in the Rai studios. Giulio Valesini and Bernardo Iovene have also agreed to serve as head writers after previously refusing the roles in protest. Di Pasquale, a veteran reporter for the program since 2011, stated that she accepted the position because the entire team asked her to do so. Former host Sigfrido Ranucci expressed his support for the choice, calling her a great professional. The transition follows a period of tension and conflict within the team. Opposition councilors Roberto Natale and Alessandro Di Majo, along with employee representative Davide Di Pietro, criticized the management of the situation as disastrous for the image of Rai. In a separate incident, reporters Bernardo Iovene and Luca Bertazzoni reportedly insulted Salvo Sottile during a press conference due to social media posts Sottile had published regarding Ranucci. Majority councilor Federica Frangi responded by stating that dissent should always be expressed with respect for people and roles.
