  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

At least 20 explosive laden drones were used in an attack against a military garrison in the Catatumbo region of eastern Colombia, leaving two soldiers dead and five injured. The attack targeted the Infantry Battalion No. 15 in Ocaña. In response, the mayor of Ocaña decreed a nightly curfew. Social media videos showed university students lying on the floor of classrooms as explosions sounded in the background.

President Abelardo de la Espriella attributed the attack to the National Liberation Army (ELN). In a post on X, the president stated that for every police officer or soldier killed, he would bring the full weight and legitimate force of the state upon the group. The government of Norte de Santander has offered a reward of 100 million pesos for information regarding the incident.

President De la Espriella, who is nearing his first month in office, has intensified ground operations and bombings against illegal organizations. He has appeared in official videos and press conferences walking among bodies covered in white blankets to report on these actions. Colombia joined the Americas Shield, an anti drug alliance led by U.S. President Donald Trump, in August. De la Espriella is scheduled to receive U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Barranquilla next week.
