  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Enugu State is developing Enugu Talent City, an initiative designed to connect digital skills development directly to employment and international demand. The project consists of two primary components: a 750 seat Business Process Outsourcing facility anchored by HUMATRIX at the Old CCB Building and a 2,000 seat Knowledge Process Outsourcing campus located at the Nigerian Communications Commission Digital Industrial Park. The BPO facility will focus on customer experience, finance, accounting, technical support, and back office services. The KPO campus will target higher value capabilities such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital research.

The initiative aims to address a mismatch between the capabilities produced by the Nigerian education system and the needs of a changing economy. While graduates often possess certificates, they frequently lack practical skills required by companies in the technology and finance sectors. Enugu Talent City intends to use university partnerships, certification initiatives, and job matching mechanisms to ensure that training leads to actual employment. This model shifts the measure of success from enrollment numbers to employability and sustainable economic outcomes.
