  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Federal Police operations named Quasar, Tank, and Carbono Oculto have revealed that Reag Investimentos, once the largest independent asset manager on Faria Lima, moved funds to wash money for fuel companies doing business with the PCC, Brazil's largest criminal organization. João Carlos Falbo Mansur, the founder and majority partner of the now liquidated firm, was a partner in one of the primary funds involved in the scheme, known as Mabruk II. Following these revelations, Mansur has submitted a plea bargain proposal to the Prosecutor General's Office focusing on Daniel Vorcaro and other entities. Prior to its collapse, Reag managed over 500 funds with assets totaling 340 billion reais and had recently debuted on the Stock Exchange with approval from the CVM and PwC. Internal efforts to improve governance led by investor Robert John van Dijk in 2025 uncovered severe irregularities, including the use of land to artificially inflate fund assets and a lack of transparency regarding fund ownership. The firm had also faced 23 citations from Anbima in the two years preceding the crisis.
