Argentine driver Franco Colapinto finished seventh in the Spanish Grand Prix, earning six points and bringing his season total to 27. Starting from ninth position, Colapinto overtook Oscar Piastri and Liam Lawson in the opening meters of the race. He briefly reached sixth position following the elimination of Lewis Hamilton, though Lawson later reclaimed that spot. Colapinto made an early pit stop during a virtual safety car period caused by an incident with Lance Stroll, which dropped him to tenth place. He subsequently overtook Gabriel Bortoleto on lap 48 and passed Pierre Gasly in the final stage of the race to secure his seventh place finish.
